Our Events
Guest Speaker: Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, Archdiocese of Dublin, a leader in Catholic social teaching in matters of justice, peace and ecology.
All are invited to join us for a 'lunchtime conversation' on this topic from 12.30 - 1.30pm on Monday 5 May 2014, at the Cardinal Knox Centre.  Click here for a flyer.
Thanks to all who contributed to our Commissioning Mass and Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 12 March, and congratulations to Council members who were re-elected:  Patrice Scales, Fr Joe Caddy, Robyn Roberts, and Gerard Jones.
Special thanks to Fr Joe Caddy for leading the celebration of the Mass in his All Saints Church in Fitzroy; to Dr John Falzon, CEO of St Vincent de Paul Society National Council  - at right - for his inspiring address on the topic 'Left out in the Lucky Country'; and to Kathy Hogarty and her team at St Mary's House of Welcome
The first workshop of our Catholic Social Teaching series for 2014 was conducted on 27 February, and was welcomed as a valuable formation experience.  Another workshop is scheduled for Tuesday 30 September 2014, with similar evenings for Board members on Thursday 10 April and Thursday 27 November.
On 29 August 2014 Monsignor Bob Vitillo, Caritas Internationalis' Special Advisor on HIV & AIDS, led a workshop on the Catholic Church's response to HIV/AIDS, and on a Catholic gathering prior to the July 2004 International AIDS Conference, in Melbourne.
A conference on 9, 10 October 2013, in Melbourne

The conference is targeted at leaders - including CEOs and Board members - and future leaders in Catholic social services. Participants beyond the social services sector, and from outside the Catholic tradition, are most welcome to join us.

The conference is designed to inspire, challenge and resource around mission-focused leadership, with an emphasis on practical implications for leaders and organisations. It will achieve this impact through a dynamic of focused input and informed sharing among participants.
