Fr. Anthony Gittins, C.S.Sp., M.A., Ph.D., is a widely experienced missionary pastor and Professor of Theology and Culture. He held the Bishop Ford Chair of Mission Theology from 1999–2008. Born in Manchester, England, and ordained in 1967, he earned M.A.s in Theoretical Linguistics and Social Anthropology and a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh.

Launch of Exhibition – Tuesday 29 September: “Life without hope cannot be” exhibits art works and stories expressing the daily life of Sudan’s Nuba Mountain people who live in a war zone. As we engage with the exhibition, we gain a greater understanding of the artists’ resilience, determination, gratitude and faith that permeate their depictions, as they struggle for liberation, dignity and education.
