The
attached article by Kate Jones and Ruth Webber from the Australian Catholic University, considers the response to the 2009 Victorian bushfires by the CatholicCare/Centacare agencies from Melbourne, Bendigo and Gippsland. These agencies received funding from the Archbishop’s Bushfire Appeal to introduce innovative programs tailored to the needs of the community and with the aim of building community capacity.
