Tomasa Morales, the Team Leader for CatholicCare Melbourne’s Refugee Settlement Program in Dandenong was acknowledged with a Merit Award for Excellence in Service by an Individual, The Perkins Award, at the 2014 Catholic Social Services Australia Awards.

Vicki Clark, Coordinator of Aboriginal Catholic Ministry (ACM) has been included in the Australian Financial Review/ Westpac 100 Women of Influence Award for her work as Co Chair of Reconciliation Victoria.

An Annual Fundraising and Social event for supporters and friends.  Venue: St Francis Xavier Parish Centre: 60 Davey St, Frankson. 7.00pm - 11.30pm.  Spit Roast Dinner, Dessert, Tea and Coffee.  BYO Drinks.  Plenty of car parking, Dancing and fantastic door prizes.
 
St Mary's House of Welcome extend an invitation for you to join their next trivia night on Friday 17th October. The trivia night takes place during Anti-Poverty Week (12th-18th October), and they aim to raise awareness about the situation of people living in poverty in their neighbourhood. Solo Catholics are hosting a 'Elvis Vegas' Cabaret Event Friday 3rd October at 8 pm.

Congratulations to Micaela Cronin, Chief Executive Officer, MacKillop Family Services for her receipt of the prestigiouis Robin Clark Award for Inspirational Leadership in working with vulnerable children, young people and families. The award was announced by Minister Mary Wooldridge on 9 September, during Child Protection Week.

The awards recognise the significant contribution, service and leadership by volunteers,

individuals and groups in the children, youth and family services sector that improve the lives

of vulnerable children and young people.
