New report, Prisoner-caregiving Programs: Supporting Older Prisoners
Catholic Social Services Victoria (CSSV) is very pleased to release its final report Prisoner-caregiving Programs: Supporting Older Prisoners, which CSSV hopes will provide a path forward for improving Victorian prisoner care. This is an exciting project which CSSV believes can bring considerable benefit to a group that experiences double vulnerability – aged and imprisoned.
Over two years careful research has been invested by authors Dr Ruth Webber (Honorary Professor at University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Honorary Research Fellow, University of Divinity, Australia) and Dr Alicia Evans (a registered nurse, independent researcher and an Associate Professor at Australian Catholic University). The report was developed with the help and oversight of a Research Steering Committee, and we are grateful to our member organisations and project funders.
We hope to hold an online launch with details being posted in due course.
