Catholic Social Ministry Conference, Catholic Theological College - Saturday 23 November 2019
The Catholic Social Ministry - Delivering Catholic Social Teaching through Community Services and Public Advocacy Conference will be held on Saturday 23 November, from 9am - 5.30pm in East Melbourne. It will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences about the nature, functions and priorities of Catholic Social Ministry.
Social ministry is broadly defined. It covers the better known and established ministries in social services and health, and a wide range of less structured activities designed to further help the poor and marginalised and to promote social justice. It also includes Parish Social Ministry, which covers the wide range of social action that can be undertaken at the local parish level.
