Wellsprings for Women celebrates 25 years
Wellsprings for Women celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Victorian Parliament on Tuesday, 13 August. More than 100 people attended the event. Attendees were a mixture of representatives from Presentation sisters Victoria, Kildare ministries, Wellsprings staff, Board and volunteers, long term supporters, members of Halpin family, past members of the Board, funding bodies, MPS and staff from local, state and federal governments.
The Honourable Minister for Women and local MP for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams was a keynote speaker and launched Wellsprings history publication documenting Wellsprings journey from 1994 to 2019.
The event was Mced by Wellsprings Patron Jo Stanley. CEO, Dalal Smiley made a presentation summarising the impact of Wellsprings in the last 25 years by showcasing the number of service hours provided, number of programs delivered, number of women engaged, number of volunteers and their contribution in dollar terms plus highlighted stories of 4 women whose lives were significantly changed for the better as a result of their involvement in Wellsprings programs.
