ACRATH members meet for annual conference
Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans (ACRATH)
members from across Australia gathered in Sydney recently for their annual Conference. The theme for the 2019 conference was Human Face, Human Impact, Human Stories.
The conference began with a prayer reflection on the Dignity of the Human Person. ACRATH President, Sr Noelene Simmons, presented the ACRATH Annual Report
assisted by the National Executive Officer and Regional Coordinators who provided snapshots of some of ACRATH's projects.
While conference participants are conscious there is much work still to be done to eliminate human trafficking and slavery from our world, there is a spirit of hope and enthusiasm at the conference as advances are celebrated. Undaunted by the task ahead ACRATH members are committed to being a voice of hope for all who are trafficked or exploited in slave like conditions, and to working for systemic change to prevent exploitative practices in the future.
