Opportunity: Palm Sunday Volunteering
For many years Palm Sunday has been marked by a Walk for Justice for Refugees. In light of the coming federal election, we think it is more important than ever to have a large showing from across the community at this walk to support justice.
The planning committee for the Melbourne walk is looking for volunteers to assist in ensuring that there is a great turn out at the event. They are looking for volunteers to help promote the Walk by distributing leaflets, putting up posters in your parish, organisation, school or community and also to assist with phone banks and other local activities.
They have organised an event where they will equip and put together local teams to support each other to work in particular areas this coming Saturday 23rd February, 2.00pm to 5.00pm at the Victorian Trades Hall (Corner of Lygon St and Victoria St in Carlton). You can call Lucy on 0404 728 104 for more details.
Please pass on these details to any who would be interested, come along and bring a friend!
