Miriam Rose Ungunmerr on the spiritual art of slowing down

Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr, Aboriginal elder and educator from Nauiyu (also known as Daly River) in the Northern Territory, discusses the Aboriginal spiritual concept of 'daddiri' and our need to slow right down and consider things we need to let go of with Eureka Street's Fatima Measham.

Miriam was a guest presenter at the recent national Catholic social services conference, Hearing Healing Hope. During the ecological forum, A Healthy Earth for a Flourishing Society - Implementing Laudato Si, held on the opening evening, she broke open the concept of daddiri - what it offers to non-Aboriginal people, and why it's more important than ever to pay attention to the natural world.
