Catholic parishes as centres of service - March newsletter now available
Catholic Social Services Victoria supports Catholic parishes as centres of service, mission and outreach. Our latest newsletter (March 2018) highlights how Catholic parishes are at the
coal face of providing services and support to the wider community. They
are often the living sign of the Gospel at work.
The newsletter includes news related to our recent national Catholic social services conference, Hearing Healing Hope,
which highlighted the importance of strengthening our collaboration and
support of parish communities, particularly in their care and welcome of
refugees and asylum seekers, in their role of recognising and preventing
family and domestic violence, and in providing much needed support to
many who would otherwise fall through the cracks.
It also includes:
* events of interest to Catholic parishes and social services agencies
* parishes living the Gospel call to live justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with our God
* initiatives and news around welcoming asylum seekers and refugees.
