Dr Carol Taylor, International Catholic Ethicist, will be joined by Melbourne-based ethicist Fr Kevin McGovern and Palliative care specialist Dr Natasha Michael in presenting the seminar. Catholic Health Australia (CHA)
is hosting Dr Carol Taylor, International Catholic Ethicist from the USA in February who will be conducting a one-day seminar open to all on 15 February. Led by Dr Carol Taylor with input from Fr Kevin McGovern and Dr Natasha Michael, the seminar will address important issues impacting our Catholic services in light of recent legislation on same-sex marriage and voluntary assisted dying. It offers a very timely opportunity to reflect together in the company of experts.
Dr Taylor is an internationally recognised clinician and health care ethicist. This seminar is for health, aged care and social services organisation executives, clinicians, managers, mission leaders, ethicists and pastoral practitioners; clergy, parish pastoral associates; academics, nursing and other health and care professionals.
The seminar will include learnings from internaitonal experience, case studies and practical responses to the issues discussed. Participants will have the opporunity to engage with others to explore appropriate pastoral responses.
Cost: $120 full day; $65 half day. Refreshments included.
