GriefLine's Seminar: Born in One Country; Dying in Another - The Power of Story - 13 September 2017

Save the date! GriefLine is organising a seminar on 13 September: Born in One Country Dying in Another – Power of Story. Experts from both the Chinese and Indian communities are invited to help us understand their struggles, cultural specific issues and hopes for the future. We will also be having a panel discussion to explore these issues further.
When: Wednesday 13 September 2017.
TIME: 5.15pm for a 5.30 startpm
Where: Level 1, 479 Warrigal Road, Moorabbin
Cost: $25 for general public

Panel discussion will be moderated by Kristina Kukolja, a multi award-winning journalist with SBS World News.

Dr Manjula O’Connor is one of the speakers. Dr O'Connor's research and clinical interests are women’s mental health, psychopharmacology, cultural and mental health aspects of family violence. Her voluntary work in the community involves public campaign against family violence in immigrant communities; dowry related family violence and supporting migrants with settlement in Australia. Her work has been cited in the Victorian Parliament many times, and reported extensively in the media. Dr O’Connor has received a number of awards in recognition of her work.
