Faith-Based Collaborations in Public Health and Development - Free Seminar
Rev Dr Matthew Abraham CSsR,
Director General of the Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI)
will be visiting Melbourne from 28 November. CHAI was founded by Sr Dr Mary Glowrey and today its 3000-plus member organisations care for more than 21 million annually.
Fr Matthew is in Melbourne to launch the Sr Dr Mary Glowrey Scholars Fund (jointly sponsored by the University of Melbourne and St Vincent's Health) to enable up to five health workers from CHAI each year to pursue short-term courses at the University of Melbourne and affiliated institutions.
While he is in Melbourne, Fr Mathew will also be presenting a free seminar together with Paul O'Callaghan, Chief Executive Officer of Caritas Australia
and Rob Floyd, National Director of UnitingWorld
on ‘Faith-Based Collaborations in Public Health and Development: Working together in disaster preparedness and response’.
