The Meaning of Poverty - 19 October 2016

As part of Anti-Poverty Week, 16-22 October, St Vincent de Paul Society will be hosting an event on ‘The Meaning of Poverty’.

Dr John Falzon, National CEO of St Vincent de Paul Society, will lead a conversation with panelists Denis Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Catholic Social Services Victoria; Lucy Adams, Manager of Homeless Law at Justice Connect and Sue Cattermole, CEO of St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria.

The panel will discuss the following questions:

What are the reasons behind poverty?

What are the impacts of poverty on people and our communities?

What can we do to make a difference?

When: Wednesday, 19 October 2016

Time: 10:30am–12:30pm

Location: William Kinsella Boardroom, Gerald Ward House, 43 Prospect St, Box Hill.
