Mental Health Week is celebrated nationally from 8 October to 14 October 2017.
Catholic Social Services Victoria, in collaboration with the St Pius X Parish West Heidelberg, is marking the occasion across the Catholic community with a Mass for all those touched by mental health issues on Saturday 14 October at St Pius X Church, 491 Waterdale Rd, West Heidelberg.

On 1 September there was a Joint Message of Pope Francis and the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the World Day of Prayer for Creation. Some of the key messages of the statement include: (i) Our human dignity and welfare are deeply connected to our care for the whole of creation and (ii) the human environment and the natural environment are deteriorating together, and this deterioration of the planet weighs upon the most vulnerable of its people.

Social Services Sunday (Sunday 17 September 2017) in the Archdiocese of Melbourne is an occasion for parishes to reflect on Pope Francis' call to reach out in compassion and service with both words and action.
