Thanks to speakers, Bernie Geary, Principal Commissioner for Children and Young People, and Micaela Cronin, CEO of MacKillop Family Services, for presenting at our 9 October 2015 Breakfast Briefing on the care and protection of vulnerable children.  This briefing enabled discussion on recent issues and reports - these include As a Good Parent would... by the Chief Commissioner, and the current Victorian Government Roadmap for Reform process.
The Breakfast helped renew our shared commitment to work together to ensure that Victoria’s support for vulnerable children meets the aspirations of the children, the families and society.  Thanks to all who participated.
And congratulations and best wishes to Bernie, on the subsequent announcement of his retirement - a job well done over many decades, and an inspiration to so many.
